Privacy Policy

Knuckles Valley Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it and how you can see or correct it. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you order: your name, email address, mobile number, delivery address, any order notes, and what you ordered.
When you sign in: your email address. We email you a one-time code, so there is no password to keep.
When you pay: PayPal handles your payment. We never see or store your card details; PayPal tells us the payment went through and gives us its reference.
When you contact us: whatever you send us by email or phone.
When you browse: Google Analytics records which pages you visit, how you found us (such as a Google search), your general location, and your device and browser. It uses cookies to recognise a returning browser, and it never receives your name, email address or delivery address.

How we use it

To pack and deliver your orders.
To send your order emails: your confirmation and tax invoice, your tracking details and any refund updates.
To send your sign-in codes.
To answer your questions and handle refunds.
To keep the records the law requires, such as tax records.
To see which pages and products people find useful, so we can improve the site.

We don’t send marketing emails, and we never sell or rent your personal information.

Who we share it with

Only what each of these services needs to do its job:

PayPal, to take payments and make refunds.
Amazon Web Services, which sends our emails.
Our delivery carrier, which needs your name, address and mobile number.
The company that hosts our website and its database.
Google, which runs Google Analytics for us.

Our website, its database and our email inbox are in Australia. Amazon Web Services sends our emails from Singapore, so the emails we send you, with their order details, pass through Singapore. PayPal may handle your information in the United States and other countries, as PayPal’s privacy statement explains. Google may handle Google Analytics data in the United States and other countries.

We may also share information when the law requires it.

Cookies and your browser

We use Google Analytics cookies to count visits and see how the site is used, and a cookie to keep you signed in to your account. We don’t use advertising cookies. Your cart and delivery choice are saved in your own browser, on your device.

You can block cookies in your browser’s settings, or stop Google Analytics in your browser with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for at least five years, as Australian tax law requires. You can ask us to close your account at any time, and we’ll delete what we don’t need to keep.

Keeping it safe

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, signing in needs a one-time code sent to your email, and only our authorised staff can see orders.

Seeing and correcting your information

You can see and update your name, mobile number and delivery address in your account. Email us to see or correct anything else we hold about you.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, email us and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
